Mike, Larry, Ty, and myself headed out to Illinois to hunt at our exclusive outfitter (Heartland Whitetails).  We had an exciting trip to say the least.  No one had any opportunities at a shooter buck but we had multiple chances at numerous 120-130 inch deer.  Almost all of the crops are still in so the bucks are still hiding in the corn.  Once the corn is harvested they will move to the timber making them much easier to hunt.  We will head back out there in a few weeks to hopefully finish the job and fill our tags.  I had the chance to take a doe while I was there.  She was pretty small but according to Shawn Scott (Heartland Whitetails), “the little ones taste the best!”  Can’t wait to head back out there!
