Clayton and I set up this morning on a few gobblers that I roosted last night and didn’t have to wait long before they flew down and walked into the decoys. The bigger tom pushed up against the decoy, spurred it a few times and then managed to step on top and start flogging him. I came to full draw and let an arrow fly. It just skimmed his back and gave him a haircut. He was so locked on to the decoy that he had no clue what was going on. I quickly nocked another arrow and drew again. This time the arrow hit its mark and sent him back-flipping off the decoy into the dirt!

We are now headed to get some breakfast and celebrate!
