Born and raised in Missouri, Ty has been hunting and fishing for as long as he can remember. He feels blessed to have grown up with a father whose love of the outdoors was shared with his family. At the age of 13 his parents helped him purchase his first compound bow. That same year he found his love of archery after taking his first buck, a 157 inch 11 point! Since then, he has been fortunate enough to take many trophy class animals with his bow. He shares his passion for the outdoors with Jill, his wife of 12 years, their daughter Alexa, and son....you guessed it, Hunter. He began filming hunts in 1995 and this became a new chapter in his life. Filming the hunt adds another level of excitement and challenge for Ty. To him the hunt is much more enjoyable when shared with family and friends. His 22 years of bow hunting experience and the time he spends preparing for his hunts show that this is much more than just a favorite past time. For Ty, hunting is not just a seasonal adventure, but a year round passion.
