Hometown: Little River, KS Birthday: December 26th, 1983
Matt began his hunting life in the reeds with a shotgun. After having a blast through his high school years with buddies chasing waterfowl Matt looked for another challenge. He noticed how intensely devoted his older brother Nick was to whitetail deer and bowhunting. Witnessing how much pleasure the sport brought his older brother he decided to forsake a shotgun and pick up a bow. Ever since, Matt has lived and breathed chasing big game with a bow. Matt loves that bowhunting only rewards the individual that puts in the time and prepares to harvest an animal. Every month of the year is devoted to one or more aspects of Matt's preparation.
Triathlons and adventure races are two of the ways that Matt and his brothers prepare their body and minds for the challenges that they could face chasing bulls at 12000 feet or sitting on stand for all day grinds. Physical fitness and deadly accuracy with a bow are Matt's top priorities no matter if the season is one day or six months away. When Matt climbs out of the stand he is blessed to be greeted by his very understanding wife Tracy and his beautiful daughter Kimber. Soon their family will grow one more with a boy on the way! Matt can't wait to share his love for the outdoors with his children.
